Portal Content Management

Navigo Portal has a versatile content management system that is based on the experiences from Navigo CMS, but contains many new features.

Practical WYSIWYG editing

The content of the portal can be edited in the format and the environment where it is shown to the end user. This so called ‘what you see is what you get’ (WYSIWYG) editing works with any modern browser on any operating system, which means that no additional software is needed. Most of the users can complete all maintenance and content creation from the WYSIWYG view. The HTML code of the content can also be edited.

Placed or dynamic content

There are two different ways to manage and use content. Content can be hierarchically structured in a certain point or dynamic, meaning that the content does not have a certain location but listed, found and shown in different contexts. Dynamic content model enables the createion of workflow and life cycle model creation in the future.

Content can be given different metadata. This data can be used to sort and filter lists and to publish information based on certain criteria. Content metadata editing is straight forward and effective.

Independent content and layout

The management of page and formatting layouts is versatile. The administrator can easily change column size and other formatting related options. In addition, elements can be imported to form the final page. Formatting and layout is dependent on Navigo Portal themes so that changes can be done centrally. Because of this flexibility, content and layout are truly independent.
